Napoli and AC Milan will do battle three times in April, facing off in the first all-Italian Champions League tie since 2005 as they bid to reach the semi-finals of Europe’s premier club competition.
Before those continental clashes, however, there is the small matter of Sunday’s Serie A contest at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona – with Stefano Pioli’s Scudetto holders under greater pressure than their likely successors.

• -Milan failed to win any of their last 4 games before the international break, 3 of them in the Italian top flight.

Milan went four games without a win prior to the international break, losing back-to-back away league games at Fiorentina and Udinese, either side of dull draws with Tottenham and Salernitana. While Pioli’s switch to a 3-4-3 system allowed Milan to end a dreadful run after the turn of the year, they have lacked inspiration in attack recently – star forward Rafael Leao is enduring an 11-game club goal drought.

Napoli, meanwhile, can afford to take their foot off the gas after moving 21 points clear at the Serie A summit, with the opportunity to reach the Champions League’s last four for the first time ever presenting itself.
They have won 12 of their last 14 matches, scoring multiple goals in all but one of those contests, and they have an excellent record in big games this term.
