Ben Shelton is a 20-year-old American, currently ranked at no. 89 which is his career-high.

He is 4-2 for the season and out of nowhere found his place this deep in the Australian Open. 

In the first round, he defeated Zhizheng Zhang in the decisive tie-break in the fifth set - 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 2-6, 7-6.

Next was Nicolas Jarry who Shelton beat in straight sets, 7-6, 7-5, 7-6 just like Alexey Popyrin in the third round - 6-3, 7-6, 6-4.

Jeffrey Joe Wolf is 67th in the ATP rankings with his career-best being at no. 56. 

The 24-year-old American is 4-1 for the season and for the first time has reached the main draw at the Australian Open.

He is coming off a secure 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 win over Michael Mmoh in the third round.

Previously, Wolf defeated Jordan Thompson in the opening round by 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 and 7-5. Next in line was Diego Schwartzman who had no chance against Wolf who won 6-1, 6-4, 6-4.
