He had 24 aces, made four breaks and didn’t allow any.

Felix Auger-Aliassime is one of the rising stars on the ATP tour. The 21-year-old has found his place among the Top 10 players last year and will probably stay there for a long time.

He started 2022 successfully winning the ATP Cup with his country.

At the Australian Open, he had a difficult start.

In the first round, Auger-Aliassime came back from 2-1 down to defeat Emil Ruusuvuori by 6-4, 0-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. In the second, he won three of the four tie-breaks for a 3-1 win over Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

The third-round match should have been tougher but Auger-Aliassime cruised past Daniel Evans winning 6-4, 6-1, 6-1 in only 115 minutes. The Canadian won 91% of the points on his first serve, hit 16 aces and made 6 breaks.
